Ceftiofur HCl + Ketoprofen Suspension for Injection is a combination drug used to treat bacterial infections in dogs and livestock like camels, cows, goats, sheep and pigs. It is used to treat the inflammatory symptoms associated with hyperthermia, pneumonia, shipping fever, foot rot, and endometritis.

This medicine combines an antibiotic with ketoprofen, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used to reduce pain and inflammation.

Ceftiofur is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, though some consider it a “new generation” cephalosporin. It works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. It shows bactericidal action against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Mannheimia, Actinobacillus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, and E. coli.
