What is Cefadroxil?
- Antibiotic
Active Ingredients: Cefadroxil
Cefadroxil Capsules are an antibiotic drug used in the treatment of moderately severe bacterial infections such as streptococcal pharyngitis, streptococcal tonsillitis, and urinary tract infections. This medication is also indicated to be used as a prophylactic antibiotic before dental procedures.
This drug is also used to reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria. Cefadroxil will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
Cefadroxil is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic, beta-lactam antibiotic within the cephalosporin family. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in the bacteria cell wall. Cefadroxil is effective against some strains of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, and Klebsiella.
This medicine is produced in our GMP-certified facilities in China, India, and the USA. These facilities are routinely audited to ensure they comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
